Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Strategies for Stroke Patients in Resource-Limited Settings
Main Article Content
Abstract
Stroke remains a leading cause of disability worldwide, with a disproportionate burden in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). In these resource-limited settings, access to conventional rehabilitation services is often inadequate. This paper explores effective physiotherapy and rehabilitation strategies tailored for stroke patients in such environments. Emphasizing community-based approaches, home-based interventions, and the integration of technology, the study reviews current practices and proposes sustainable models to enhance recovery outcomes. The findings highlight the importance of early rehabilitation, caregiver involvement, and the adaptation of evidence-based therapies to local contexts.
